At Deanna Dunham Designs | Little Joys Studio, creating a safe, professional, and heart-filled experience for every client is at the core of what I do. Whether you’re booking a cozy indoor Little Joys session or an outdoor lifestyle shoot in the Okanagan, I want you to feel not just comfortable — but confident that you're in good hands when choosing me as your photographer.
That’s why I’m proud to share that I’m both licensed and insured — including holding a Kelowna Intercommunity Mobile Business License, which allows me to legally and professionally operate across multiple municipalities in the Okanagan-Similkameen region and beyond.
🌿 What Does That Mean for You?
Whether we’re meeting at your home, a public park, the beach, or your favourite orchard, you can rest easy knowing that:
✅ I’m legally permitted to work in your area.
The Kelowna Intercommunity Business License allows me to operate in the following communities:
Kelowna
West Kelowna
Lake Country
Peachland
Summerland
Penticton
Oliver
Osoyoos
Keremeos
Hedley
Princeton
Armstrong
Enderby
Salmon Arm
Vernon
Coldstream
That means no surprises when we show up for a location session — just joyful, uninterrupted photography.
✅ I’m fully insured.
I carry $2 million in general liability insurance and $1 million in tenant legal liability, giving you peace of mind for every session. This protects us both in the event of accidents — from a toddler tripping over a blanket to a wind-blown prop causing minor damage at a venue.
I also hold $1 million in non-owned automobile liability and $25,000 in medical expense coverage per person, just in case.
Many professional venues now require photographers to provide a Certificate of Insurance. If needed, I can supply one with their name listed — no extra cost, no stress on your end.
✅ I follow municipal rules and park permit guidelines.
Many public spaces and regional parks now require that photographers be licensed and insured to shoot there — and I meet those requirements. If a permit is needed, I handle the paperwork so you don’t have to.
📷 Why It Matters
Photography is personal — you’re trusting me to capture memories of your little ones, your growing belly, your family as it is right now. Choosing someone who is licensed and insured is more than just ticking a box — it shows you’re working with a professional who takes your trust seriously.
This also helps ensure respectful, responsible use of our beautiful shared outdoor spaces, while supporting local business accountability.
❤️ Let’s Create Without Worry
If you ever have questions about locations, permits, or how to prepare for your session, I’m here to guide you. Part of my job — and joy — is making your photography experience feel seamless, safe, and meaningful.
Thanks for supporting a small, licensed, and local business. I can’t wait to photograph your Little Joys.
Warmly,
Deanna
